Foothills

Higher than 10% of albums we've rated

Kix's debut showcases energetic songwriting and solid production but lacks depth for long-term engagement.

What we noticed

• — The album opens with a high-energy track, 'Atomic Bombs', and maintains a fast tempo through the first five songs before slowing slightly with 'Contrary Mary'.
• — The production is polished, with layered vocals and harmonies that emphasize the glam metal aesthetic prevalent in early '80s rock.
