What makes Mary by Supergrass notable?

The EP offers a glimpse into Supergrass's dynamic live presence, which contributed significantly to their reputation in the Britpop scene. While it didn't achieve significant chart success on its own, it served to solidify fan loyalty leading into the new millennium, reflecting the band's ongoing influence within the alternative rock genre. Mary was released in late 1999, marking a transitional phase for Supergrass as they were moving away from the exuberance of their debut album, I Should Coco, and venturing into more mature themes. This live EP followed the band's successful third album, In It for the Money, and showcased their evolution as performers during this period.
