His work transcends the confines of traditional genres, creating a space where dreamlike soundscapes intertwine with introspective themes, inviting audiences to explore their own inner landscapes. By pushing the boundaries of what psychedelic music can embody, he fosters a sense of connection among listeners who seek solace and reflection in sound. Forkner's approach is rooted in a meticulous layering of textures, often employing loops and ambient tones that evoke a sense of timelessness. This process allows him to create immersive environments that envelop listeners, drawing them into a world where sounds are both familiar and otherworldly. His innovative use of electronic elements alongside organic instrumentation cultivates a fluidity that challenges conventional boundaries while remaining accessible. His songwriting often wanders through the realms of introspection, nostalgia, and existential inquiry, marked by a voice that oscillates between sincerity and subtle irony. Forkner tends to craft narratives that feel impressionistic, allowing emotions to surface organically rather than adhering strictly to storytelling conventions. The result is an exploration of universal themes through a personal lens, inviting listeners to find their own meanings amidst the sonic haze.
