About Cécile Corbel

Cécile Corbel's music matters for its ability to transport listeners to otherworldly realms, intertwining the ethereal with the deeply personal.

By drawing from Celtic traditions and infusing them with her own narratives, she crafts a soundscape that resonates with both nostalgia and longing, creating a bridge between past and present that captivates diverse audiences. Her approach is marked by an intricate layering of vocals and harp, employing delicate melodies that mimic the ebb and flow of nature itself. Corbel often embraces the spontaneity of performance, allowing her music to evolve in real time, which cultivates an intimate atmosphere where each note feels like a shared secret. This engagement invites listeners to experience her work not just as passive observers but as active participants in an unfolding story. Lyrically, Corbel explores themes of memory, love, and the enchanting qualities of folklore, often channeling a storytelling voice that evokes vivid imagery. Her tone fluctuates between whimsical and solemn, balancing sincerity with a childlike wonder that invites reflection. With impressionistic verses, she allows emotions to speak through the music rather than relying solely on explicit narrative.
