Her work challenges traditional boundaries of genre, creating a sonic landscape that resonates deeply with both the cerebral and the emotional. By weaving intricate soundscapes that draw upon her diverse influences, Ott has cultivated an immersive listening experience that invites audiences to explore the nuances of their own inner worlds. Employing the ondes Martenot—a rare electronic instrument—Ott crafts textures that shimmer and pulse with an otherworldly quality. This approach not only highlights her technical proficiency but also showcases her ability to harness the emotive potential of sound. Each performance feels like a conversation between the structured and the spontaneous, as she often allows room for improvisation, resulting in a fluidity that keeps listeners engaged and introspective. Lyrically, Ott frequently delves into themes of nature, memory, and the passage of time, often employing impressionistic storytelling that relies on evocative imagery rather than straightforward narratives. Her voice carries a haunting sincerity, allowing listeners to connect deeply with the emotions underlying each piece while maintaining a sense of mystery and exploration.
