Their work not only embodies the avant-garde spirit of their era but has also paved the way for countless artists exploring the fringes of sound. By embracing a cerebral approach to music-making, they have fostered a culture that values innovation over convention, inviting listeners to engage with sound on a deeper level. The duo’s process is marked by an interplay of spontaneity and meticulous crafting, often employing synthesizers and tape manipulation to construct immersive auditory environments. Their exploration of texture and space creates a sense of freedom within their compositions, challenging traditional notions of song structure while maintaining an underlying cohesion that draws listeners in. This innovative approach has influenced not only musicians but also visual artists and filmmakers, demonstrating the interconnectedness of creative expression. Cluster frequently delves into existential themes, reflecting on the nature of perception and consciousness through impressionistic soundscapes. Their writing leans toward evocation rather than narrative, creating an atmosphere that encourages introspection while fostering a sense of collective experience. The tone oscillates between serene and unsettling, mirroring life's complexities in a way that resonates deeply with audiences seeking meaning beyond mere entertainment.
