About Fuck Buttons

Fuck Buttons matter for their ability to create immersive sonic landscapes that challenge the listener’s perception of sound and time.
Their aggressive yet meditative compositions have carved out a space in the experimental music scene, encouraging audiences to engage with sound as a physical experience rather than mere background noise.
Their aggressive yet meditative compositions have carved out a space in the experimental music scene, encouraging audiences to engage with sound as a physical experience rather than mere background noise. By transforming live performance into a cathartic ritual, they invite collective introspection, fostering a unique connection between performer and audience. Their approach intertwines dense layers of noise with melodic elements, often incorporating field recordings and unconventional instrumentation. This results in an expansive and tactile sound that propels listeners through fluctuating dynamics and rhythms. The duo's innovative use of repetition and gradual progression builds tension that can erupt into euphoric crescendos or sink into cavernous depths, ensuring each track feels like an unpredictable journey. In their songwriting, Fuck Buttons frequently explore themes of chaos, transcendence, and the human condition through evocative soundscapes rather than explicit narratives. Rather than relying on lyrics, their music serves as a canvas for emotional resonance, creating impressions that can evoke both discomfort and elation. The tone oscillates between stark intensity and contemplative serenity, leaving much open to interpretation.
