Their music captures a sense of place and feeling, inviting listeners to reflect on the bittersweet moments of life while finding solace in the shared experience of growing up, making emotional connection a hallmark of their work. The band's approach is characterized by an interplay between shimmering melodies and layered instrumentation that creates an expansive sonic environment. This emphasis on texture draws listeners in, allowing every note to breathe within a spacious arrangement that invites exploration rather than confinement. Their innovative use of dynamics ensures that quiet moments are just as impactful as explosive crescendos, generating a captivating ebb and flow throughout their tracks. Lyrically, Headlights often explore themes of memory, longing, and the passage of time with a voice that balances sincerity and irony.
