By merging avant-garde electronic production with thought-provoking conceptual frameworks, her work emphasizes the complexities of identity and community in an increasingly digitized world. Her distinct approach invites listeners to reconsider their relationship with music and the implications of technological advancement on human expression. Herndon's process is deeply collaborative, often involving both cutting-edge vocal processing techniques and real-time interactions with artificial intelligence. This innovative fusion creates a sonic environment where organic human voices and synthetic sounds coexist, challenging traditional notions of authorship and performance. By incorporating AI not just as a tool but as a participant in her music-making, she cultivates a dynamic dialogue between machine and musician that feels fresh and provocative. In her songwriting, Herndon frequently explores themes of identity, collective experience, and the relationship between the body and technology. Her voice oscillates between intimate vulnerability and expansive experimentation, often employing impressionistic storytelling that evokes emotional landscapes rather than straightforward narratives. This unique perspective allows her to address profound questions about existence while maintaining a sense of immediacy and relevance.
