His contributions have redefined how film scores can influence mainstream music, allowing audiences to experience sound as an emotional journey that transcends dialogue and visuals. By blending elements of orchestral and electronic music, Andrews has crafted an auditory language that resonates deeply within both film and popular culture. His approach is marked by a meticulous attention to atmosphere, often layering textures that evoke a profound sense of place and feeling. With an emphasis on mood over traditional song structures, Andrews utilizes minimalistic instrumentation and haunting melodies, creating a tension that lingers long after the last note fades. This process reveals an innovative use of silence and sparse arrangements that challenge conventional expectations of musical momentum. Lyrically, when he does delve into songwriting, Andrews tends to explore themes of nostalgia, loss, and existential reflection, conveyed through a voice that balances sincerity with introspective nuance. His storytelling often embraces an impressionistic style, inviting listeners to engage their imaginations while reflecting on their own experiences.
