Their music invites listeners to embrace uncertainty and complexity, encouraging a collective experience that transcends conventional song structures. In live performances, the band fosters an intimate atmosphere that pulls audiences into their immersive soundscapes, creating a shared journey through the intricacies of human emotion. The band's approach to songwriting is rooted in innovation, employing unconventional arrangements and textures that challenge traditional notions of rock music. By blending ambient sound design with visceral instrumentation, they create a sonic environment that feels both expansive and claustrophobic, allowing for a rich tapestry of auditory experiences. Each track serves as a canvas where layers of sound build upon one another, revealing new insights with each listen. Lyrically, Porter often explores themes of introspection, existential struggle, and the passage of time. Their storytelling leans towards impressionistic imagery rather than straightforward narratives, evoking feelings rather than dictating events. This allows listeners to engage with the music on a personal level, finding their own meanings within the abstract tones and vivid landscapes conjured by the lyrics.
