His work bridges the gap between traditional musicianship and contemporary production, drawing in listeners who crave both authenticity and innovation. By positioning himself at the intersection of these worlds, he invites a new generation to engage with electronic music on a visceral level, transforming how live shows are experienced. DeLong’s approach is marked by a hands-on involvement with technology, often using custom-built instruments and software to manipulate sound in real-time. This not only showcases his technical prowess but also cultivates a sense of spontaneity during performances, where each show becomes a unique exploration of rhythm and vibe. His integration of visual elements alongside the musical experience heightens the impact, making each moment feel alive and interconnected. Lyrically, DeLong often addresses themes of modern existence—exploring anxiety, disconnection, and the search for meaning within a digital landscape. His storytelling leans towards impressionism, evoking feelings rather than delivering straightforward narratives; this lends an air of sincerity amidst complex emotions, allowing listeners to find their own interpretations.
