The duo employs a minimalist approach, utilizing layers of voice and instrumentation that emphasize atmosphere over complexity. Their emphasis on natural sounds and organic textures creates an immersive environment where each note feels deliberate and intentional. This process allows them to build tension and release through dynamic shifts, engaging listeners in a journey rather than merely presenting songs. The result is an auditory landscape that feels alive and responsive. In their songwriting, Ruby Throat often explores themes of longing, transformation, and the interplay between light and dark.
