About Shitmat

Shitmat exists as a radical force in the landscape of underground music, reshaping perceptions of what electronic artistry can be.

With an irreverent approach to sound collage and digital manipulation, Shitmat has carved out a niche that challenges listeners to confront the absurdities of modern life, emphasizing not just the auditory experience but also the cultural commentary embedded within it. By embracing chaos and humor, this artist compels audiences to engage with music as both an art form and a critique. The process behind Shitmat's work is anchored in an unabashedly playful yet meticulous sampling technique that juxtaposes disparate sounds from pop culture, everyday life, and noise. This innovative approach results in frenetic compositions that blur the lines between genres while creating a visceral listening experience. Each track operates like a frenetic conversation, marked by rapid shifts in tempo and texture that keep audiences on their toes, reflecting the unpredictable nature of contemporary existence. Lyrically and thematically, Shitmat often navigates themes of absurdity, irony, and societal critique through a lens that feels both mischievous and reflective. The voice comes across as tongue-in-cheek yet provocative, weaving together impressionistic narratives and sharp observations that resonate with listeners on multiple levels.
