Their approach to music reflects a broader shift towards a more inclusive and playful representation of identity, where self-expression is not just encouraged but celebrated. By using their platforms to foster community and connection, they have opened doors for discussions around sexuality and creativity in contemporary pop. Their innovative process combines sharp songwriting with a vibrant audiovisual aesthetic, often integrating humor and wit into their production. Superfruit's sound does not shy away from experimentation; instead, it embraces the playful potential of modern pop music by utilizing looped harmonies and sleek arrangements that keep listeners entranced. This approach creates a sonic landscape where each track feels like an invitation to join in on the fun while exploring deeper themes. Common lyrical themes center on love, acceptance, and the joyful chaos of life, often delivered in a conversational tone that feels both sincere and light-hearted. They tend to weave storytelling with impressionistic elements, allowing listeners to feel the emotions behind the words rather than just hear them. The result is a blend of earnestness and irony that resonates widely.
