He often employs a blend of folk traditions and modern arrangements, creating soundscapes that feel both nostalgic and fresh. Lyrically, Watari often navigates themes of longing, identity, and the bittersweet nature of love, employing a sincere voice that invites listeners into his introspective world. His writing balances storytelling with impressionistic imagery, inviting emotional engagement without overt sentimentality. The result is a body of work that resonates deeply, often reflecting the complexities of human experience through a lens that feels both personal and universal.
