Their music resonates with a generation navigating uncertainty, offering solace and connection through relatable narratives that echo the complexities of modern existence. Employing a blend of raw instrumentation and intricate melodies, The Onset crafts songs that feel like conversations—inviting yet deeply introspective. Their approach is marked by a willingness to explore the mundane and the profound alike, resulting in soundscapes that often build gradually, intertwining layers of guitar, bass, and percussion that enhance the lyrical themes. Lyrically, The Onset often explores themes of nostalgia, longing, and self-discovery, delivered through a voice that balances sincerity with an undercurrent of irony. Their storytelling technique blends vivid imagery with impressionistic moments, allowing listeners to immerse themselves in a narrative while also leaving space for personal interpretation and reflection.
