About The Tossers

The Tossers carve out a space in the music landscape that bridges the raw energy of punk rock with the rich traditions of Celtic folk.

Their significance lies not just in their sound, but in their ability to connect disparate cultural threads—uniting working-class narratives and celebratory anthems into a cohesive experience that resonates across generations. They remind listeners of the power of community, inviting revelry and solidarity even amidst strife. Their approach is marked by an infectious vigor, with each performance feeling like a raucous gathering where stories are exchanged over pints. The Tossers employ traditional instruments alongside electric guitars, creating a lively backdrop that feels both rooted in history and electrifyingly contemporary. This blend allows them to create a communal atmosphere that encourages audience participation, transforming passive listeners into active participants in their musical journey. Frequently drawing on themes of heritage, struggle, and celebration, their songwriting embraces sincerity while often layering irony within its earnestness. The band’s storytelling approach evokes vivid imagery, painting scenes of both hardship and joy, inviting listeners to reflect on their own experiences through a lens of shared culture and camaraderie.
