About Trebunie-Tutki

Trebunie-Tutki matters as a vibrant cultural bridge, connecting traditional Polish folk music with contemporary influences that resonate across generations.

Their work has become a vital part of the revival and evolution of regional sounds, breathing new life into the folklore of the Tatra Mountains while also engaging audiences outside their native context. By inviting listeners to experience the rich tapestry of their heritage, they foster a deeper appreciation for the nuances of cultural identity. The group employs innovative instrumentation and arrangements that marry traditional melodies with modern rhythms, often featuring string instruments alongside electronic elements. This approach transforms their performances into communal celebrations where listeners are encouraged to participate rather than merely observe. The fusion of old and new creates an engaging atmosphere, reflecting the dynamic nature of cultural expression in today's world. Lyrically, Trebunie-Tutki often explores themes of love, nature, and the passage of time, painting vivid pictures that evoke a sense of place and longing. Their storytelling is marked by sincerity and warmth, using imagery that resonates emotionally rather than relying solely on irony or abstraction. This heartfelt approach invites listeners to connect personally with both the stories being told and the feelings they conjure.
