What makes Blues from a Gun by The Jesus and Mary Chain notable?

The album's lead single, 'Blues From a Gun,' reached number 27 on the UK Singles Chart, showcasing the band's ability to maintain commercial appeal amid their experimental sound. Critics noted this release as a significant evolution in their style, blending their characteristic noise rock with more melodic elements, influencing future indie and alternative rock bands in the '90s.
