What makes Lonely by Frente! notable?

The EP gained critical acclaim, particularly for its cover of 'Bizarre Love Triangle,' which showcased their unique interpretation of a New Order classic. It also helped them gain traction internationally, particularly in the U.S., where they began to build a dedicated following. When Frente! released 'Lonely' in May 1994, they were riding the wave of their breakthrough success from their debut album, 'Marvin the Album,' which had established them as a key player in the Australian alternative rock scene. This EP served to solidify their sound while introducing new collaborators like Dean and Gene Ween.
