What makes Maniac by Girlicious notable?

'Maniac' achieved chart success by reaching number 32 on the Billboard Hot 100 and becoming a notable hit in the dance charts. The track exemplifies the early 2010s trend of blending R&B influences with electronic pop elements, contributing to the soundscape of that era and influencing other girl groups emerging at the time. Released in 2010, 'Maniac' was Girlicious's first single after their debut album, positioning them to capitalize on their previous success from the reality show 'Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious'. At this stage, the group aimed to solidify their presence in the pop music landscape following a successful debut that generated initial buzz and fanfare.
