What makes XO by Leathermouth notable?

This album matters for its unapologetic approach to controversial topics, notably the track 'I Am Going to Kill the President of the United States of America,' which garnered media attention and sparked discussions about artistic freedom. Critics praised the album for its energetic delivery and dark humor, positioning it as a notable entry in the hardcore punk genre during a time when such expressions were becoming increasingly mainstream. XO is Leathermouth's debut album, released in 2009 amidst the growing popularity of the emo and hardcore scenes. The band, featuring My Chemical Romance's Frank Iero, sought to explore heavier musical territory, breaking away from his more melodic roots.
