His work resonates in a world increasingly filled with noise, offering a sanctuary where vulnerability and emotional exploration can coexist. By crafting ethereal atmospheres, he influences both the ambient genre and broader musical conversations, prompting audiences to engage with music as a form of healing and reflection rather than mere entertainment. Somers approaches music as an architect of sound, carefully layering textures that evoke a sense of place and emotion. His innovative use of sonic elements transforms familiar instrumentation into something otherworldly, blurring the lines between traditional songwriting and experimental sound design. This meticulous crafting allows each piece to breathe, creating an intimate dialogue between the listener and the music. In his songwriting, Somers often explores themes of solitude, connection, and the complexities of human experience. His voice carries a haunting sincerity, evoking feelings of longing while navigating through impressionistic storytelling that captures fleeting moments rather than concrete narratives. The result is a tapestry of emotion that encourages reflection and personal interpretation.
