Her work stands as a bridge between tradition and contemporary expression, reflecting a commitment to storytelling that resonates deeply within the folk metal scene while engaging with broader themes of identity and belonging. Murphy approaches her craft with an authentic reverence for both the acoustic and electric elements of sound, integrating rich textures that evoke the mystique of historical narratives alongside a raw, emotive energy. This duality creates a sonic tapestry that feels both grounded in heritage and alive with personal exploration. Her use of diverse instrumentation adds layers to her songs, creating a vibrant world that pulls listeners into its depths. Lyric-wise, she often explores themes of struggle, resilience, and connection to nature, employing an evocative yet direct voice that balances sincerity with a sense of mythic storytelling. This results in narratives that are not just heard but felt, often leaving room for reflection amidst poignant imagery. With this approach, Murphy crafts songs that resonate emotionally while still allowing for personal interpretation.
