By infusing his music with personal storytelling and relatable themes, he bridges a gap between the introspection often found in indie music and the rhythmic pulse of hip-hop, inviting a diverse audience to engage with his narrative. His approach is marked by a commitment to authenticity, employing a blend of vivid imagery and conversational lyrics that resonate on a personal level. Waters crafts his sound with an emphasis on melodic hooks and dynamic production, creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages connection. He often collaborates with producers who share this vision, resulting in tracks that feel both grounded and expansive. Common lyrical themes include self-reflection, perseverance, and the struggles of navigating life's complexities, which he encapsulates with sincerity and an approachable tone. His storytelling tends to be impressionistic, using vignettes from his life to paint broader emotional landscapes rather than relying solely on traditional narratives.
