His work has created a vibrant intersection where nostalgia and innovation collide, inspiring a generation of listeners and artists who crave music that defies traditional structures and conventions. His approach involves a unique blend of live performance and digital manipulation, often using vintage video game sounds to create an intense sonic landscape that feels both familiar and exhilarating. This blend of retro and modern elements not only energizes dance floors but also encourages audiences to engage with the music in a more interactive manner, blurring the lines between performer and listener. Themes in DJ Scotch Egg's music often revolve around playfulness and rebellion, reflecting a sense of youthful exuberance alongside an undercurrent of subversion. His writing tends toward impressionistic storytelling, utilizing sound as a medium to evoke feelings rather than convey direct messages, allowing listeners to interpret the experience personally.
