By prioritizing storytelling in their music, they reflect universal experiences, transforming individual narratives into shared moments of introspection and catharsis. Their ability to distill complex emotions into accessible anthems has created spaces for audiences to find solace and understanding amid life's chaos. The band employs a raw and unrefined sound palette, often embracing imperfections as part of their charm. This approach allows them to convey feelings of vulnerability and authenticity, crafting songs that feel like late-night confessions or whispered secrets among friends. Their musical environment is characterized by interwoven guitar lines and steady rhythmic foundations that support the weight of their emotional expressions. In their songwriting, Folks often explores themes of longing, connection, and the bittersweet nature of memory, using a voice that balances sincerity with relatable irony. The tone shifts fluidly between reflective melancholy and hopeful resilience, creating an inviting atmosphere where listeners can both empathize and lose themselves in the moment.
