Their ability to weave introspective themes into catchy melodies created a sense of connection that transcended mere entertainment; they encouraged listeners to explore the complexities of youthful experiences and modern relationships through a lens that felt both nostalgic and fresh. Their approach to music-making is characterized by an earnest exploration of sound texture and rhythm, often utilizing bright synth lines layered over propulsive beats. This dynamic interplay not only defines their sonic identity but also creates an engaging atmosphere that invites movement and participation. The band’s penchant for crafting anthems that encapsulate fleeting moments amplifies the emotional stakes, urging listeners to reflect on the bittersweet nature of growing up. Lyricism often revolves around themes of vulnerability, nostalgia, and the pangs of adolescence, delivered with a voice that balances sincerity with moments of playful irony. Their storytelling tends to evoke vivid imagery while maintaining an impressionistic quality, allowing listeners to project their own experiences onto the narratives being spun.
