As a solo artist, her work challenges the boundaries of traditional folk and pop music, inviting audiences to rethink their relationship with both genres. By weaving personal narratives into her music, she establishes a connection that feels both universal and distinctly her own, making her a pivotal figure in contemporary Latin American music. Molina’s approach is marked by her innovative use of looping and layering, which transforms simple melodies and rhythms into intricate soundscapes. This technique allows her to build rich, textured compositions while maintaining a DIY ethos. Her performances often blur the lines between studio and stage, emphasizing a spontaneity that enhances the emotional weight of her songs. Each piece is crafted with care, reflecting her desire to create immersive experiences that linger long after they end. Her songwriting frequently explores themes of solitude, nature, and introspection, delivered through a voice that balances sincerity with dreamlike abstraction. She tends to employ impressionistic storytelling, allowing listeners to engage their imaginations while navigating complex emotions. This blend of warmth and distance invites an exploration of what it means to connect—both with oneself and with the world around us.
