Their work challenges conventional structures, creating a space where genre boundaries blur and listeners are encouraged to explore the absurdities of life through a sonic lens that celebrates both irony and open-heartedness. The duo employs an innovative method of sampling and remixing, weaving together disparate sounds to construct immersive auditory experiences. This approach not only engages the listener’s curiosity but also invites them into a world where familiar elements are recontextualized, provoking reflection on the nature of music itself. By utilizing a collage-like technique, they create tracks that feel both spontaneous and meticulously crafted, allowing for unexpected shifts and playful juxtapositions within each piece. Lyrically, Mungolian Jet Set often traverses themes of escapism, surrealism, and cultural interplay, employing a tone that is both ironic and sincere. Their storytelling tends to be impressionistic rather than linear, evoking emotions and images that resonate on multiple levels without adhering to traditional narratives. This gives their music a dreamlike quality, inviting listeners to engage with the feelings it evokes rather than deciphering explicit meanings.
