By reinterpreting and revitalizing the sounds of heritage, he invites listeners to reconsider their relationship with the past while remaining firmly rooted in the present, creating a bridge for generations to connect over shared stories and experiences. His approach to songwriting is marked by a deep respect for tradition while simultaneously pushing its boundaries. Castillo employs an innovative use of instrumentation and arrangement that breathes new life into familiar melodies, often layering rich textures that evoke both nostalgia and modernity. This duality in his sound allows him to craft songs that feel intimate yet expansive, capturing the essence of communal storytelling. Lyrically, Castillo often explores themes of belonging, memory, and the struggles inherent in cultural preservation. His voice carries a sincere yet reflective tone, blurring the lines between personal narrative and collective experience. Through impressionistic storytelling, he evokes vivid imagery that resonates on an emotional level while inviting listeners to find their own interpretations within his verses.
