They are not just musicians but a collective that emphasizes the communal aspect of performance, drawing in audiences to partake in the spontaneity of live music. Their presence elevates gatherings into dynamic celebrations, where the boundaries between artist and listener blur. The group’s approach is rooted in exploration and conversation, using their instruments as voices in a dialogue that evolves with each performance. Each piece unfolds like a story told in real-time, where motifs are introduced and transformed through collective improvisation, allowing them to pivot seamlessly between structured melodies and free-form expressions. This process fosters a sense of unpredictability, keeping listeners on their toes and engaged throughout the experience. In their songwriting, Pe’z often explores themes of connection and joy, encapsulating moments of life’s whimsical nature while employing a tone that balances sincerity with a lighthearted playfulness. Their storytelling blends vivid imagery with impressionistic snapshots, inviting listeners to derive personal meaning from the interplay of sound rather than relying solely on lyrical narratives.
