His work often evokes a sense of introspection and connection, making the intangible feelings associated with technology and modern life feel palpable and relatable.
Approaching music as a space for exploration rather than mere production, McAndrews employs an innovative sound design that combines intricate layering with immersive atmospheres. This process allows him to create textured soundscapes that invite listeners to engage in a journey through both rhythm and emotion, effectively blurring the lines between organic and electronic elements.
In his songwriting, McAndrews frequently delves into themes of loneliness, memory, and the intersection of humanity and technology. His voice maintains a reflective tone, aiming for sincerity without shying away from the complexity of modern existence. Through impressionistic storytelling, he conveys vivid emotions while leaving room for personal interpretation, creating a shared yet distinctly individual experience for each listener.
