His work transcends simple accompaniment, creating immersive experiences that elevate visual storytelling while inviting audiences to engage their emotions more intensely. By infusing traditional elements with modern textures, Akinola has helped redefine the soundscape of screen music, challenging listeners to rethink how they interact with narrative. His approach is characterized by a meticulous layering of sounds that blends orchestral arrangements with electronic elements, allowing him to navigate between the familiar and the groundbreaking. Akinola often employs unconventional structures and instrumentation, which results in compositions that are both evocative and original. This innovative technique not only enhances the emotional weight of visuals but also creates standalone listening experiences that resonate outside their original contexts. In his songwriting, Akinola often explores themes of identity, resilience, and cultural heritage, crafting stories that reflect the human experience through a lens of authenticity and depth. His writing tends to balance emotional sincerity with an impressionistic quality, inviting listeners into a reflective space rather than dictating their feelings outright.
