Her work matters as it taps into universal emotions while remaining rooted in specific cultural narratives, creating a bridge for listeners across diverse backgrounds to engage with themes of belonging and introspection. Mohsin's approach to music-making is characterized by her intimate songwriting and minimalistic arrangements, allowing her voice to take center stage. She embraces a DIY ethos, often layering sounds that reflect her immediate environment, which invites listeners into her world with an authenticity that feels both spontaneous and meticulously crafted. This innovative process highlights the beauty of simplicity, where every note and silence speaks volumes. Her lyrics often delve into personal journeys, exploring themes such as love, loss, and resilience with a tone that oscillates between sincerity and reflective irony. Mohsin's storytelling is impressionistic rather than linear; she captures fleeting emotions and vivid snapshots of life that resonate on a visceral level.
